 At Marco, many prestigious homes sit directly on Gulf water canals.
There is only one Gulf water canal that sits directly across from the Gulf
of Mexico. Your Marco Island vacation retreat sits on that beautiful
salt water setting. Yes, you guessed it! The dolphins frequently
play at your back porch and you may find a very large manatee keeping out
of the sun and resting under your dock!
As you sit by the pool for morning coffee, those crazy snooks will
be jumping so wildly, that you may believe they are conducting a "snook
riot." They are actually picking off the feed that rested on your
water during the night.
THE TIGERTAIL NEIGHBORHOOD
If you enjoy the sounds of a city, then this is definitely the wrong
neighborhood for you! At about 7:00 a.m. you could hear a pin drop,
or maybe even an early rising snook. "Quiet, serene, peaceful, and
tranquil" may be the best words to describe our neighborhood. Sometimes
you may wonder...Does anyone else live here? Yes, they do, but not
always. While many are permanent residents, many others also have
northern homes or frequently travel.
 Marco Island is Florida's safest community and we have the distinction
of being Marco's safest neighborhood. We feel that we have the friendliest
neighbors in the U.S.A. We know them very well, as we have our vacation
home right next door to "The Tigertail House." Now if the "little
ones" get restless, just walk right across to "Tigertail Park" on the beach.
Swing sets, monkey bars and volleyball nets are set up on the beach.
Then find "Todd's" in the park, a little beach grill offering burgers,
fries, hot dogs and ice cream. If cooking dinner on the beach fits
you, charcoal grills galore and large family picnic tables line the seven
mile long beach.
Enjoying a good book by the pool, taking a morning walk on Tigertail
Beach, and enjoying a glass of wine with the Tigertail sunsets...
